The original article titled “Urinary neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin and urinary soluble CXCL16 as biomarkers of activity in pediatric lupus nephritis” published in Indian Journal of Nephrology, on pages 427-432, Volume 28, Issue 6, 2018,[1] is being retracted because of being a duplicate publication of an article titled “Urinary Soluble Chemokine (C-X-C Motif) Ligand 16 (CXCL16) and Urinary Neutrophil Gelatinase Associated Lipocalin (NGAL) as Biomarkers of Activity in Children and Adolescents with Lupus Nephritis” published in Clinical & Medical Biochemistry Journal, Volume 3, Issue 2, 2017.[2] Plagiarism, duplication, unethical or redundant publication violates the editorial policy of Indian Journal of Nephrology, which follows best practice guidelines given by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) mentioned on the Information for Authors and as codified in the signed statements made by the authors regarding the copyright of their work.
